PLEASE NOTE

Each exhaust guard is designed for use with the specific model depicted inside the plate, using the standard exhaust pipe.

Before use: Make sure the pipe is in good, original condition, for a perfect fit.

WARNING:
If the pipe comes into contact with the plastic part of this guard, it will melt.

  1. Remove any guards that may obstruct fitment.
  2. Loosen exhaust guard clamps.
  3. Remove center bracket from guard and insert into your bike's frame.
  4. Insert the threaded bar into the center bracket (without the nut).
  5. Loosen the rear bracket on the guard until it can move freely on the guard.
  6. Push guard up on to the bike frame: Align and attach rear bracket cap screws first. Next, align center holes with the threaded bar, and fit hose clamps over the exhaust.
  7. Fit fender washer and hex nut on to the threaded bar and tighten guard up to the frame.

**KTM frames have 2 plastic inserts on the rear of the frame that need to be pulled out to accommodate the rear bolts.

  8. Tighten the rear bolts.

**DO NOT over tighten the bolts as this may damage the guard.

  9. Insert cap screw into the second hole of the middle clamp and tighten. Remove threaded bar and replace with cap screw. Tighten.
  10. Applying upward pressure on the front of the guard, tighten exhaust clamps. Apply silicone to the base of the cap screws to stop the bolts from loosening. Apply silicone to the clamp to hold it tightly in place on the frame.

WARNING!

Rubber grommets need to be replaced if missing to prevent melting of the guard. The guard must only be used on the exhaust pipe it was intended for, otherwise contact may occur with the pipe, resulting in the melting of the guard. Only the rubber grommets may touch the exhaust pipe. More grommets may be added to the guard if preferred - these are available to purchase at 763-263-9835.

**After first installation the guard will conform to the shape of the frame once heating and cooling has occurred insuring a great fit!
